We left Sandy Hook, NJ at 6PM on 11/07/02.  By 0300 the sea state reached 9 to 11 ft and the winds were blowing 30 knots on the nose gusting to 40.  15 hours later, we reached Atlantic City, NJ absolutely soaked and exhausted.  We spent an entire day repairing damaged sails and drying out the boat.  For a while it looked like the trip was going to stop in Atlantic City.  It took 11 days for us to find a good weather window to leave.
